This is the Yahoo discussion group for the members of American Society of Indexers' Taxonomies & Controlled Vocabularies Special Interest Group.
This is the primary discussion group of the members of American Society for Indexing Taxonomies & Controlled Vocabularies Special Interest Group. It is open to members only. Although hosted as Yahoo group, it is not necessary to be a Yahoo member to join. New members of the ASI Taxonomies & Controlled Vocabularies will be sent an invitation to join the group from the group's moderator. All SIG members are encouraged to join the group, for discussing shared issues of interest regarding taxonomy/controlled voabulary work (getting started, getting training, finding clients, working with clients, rates, finding employment, managing projects, getting resources, details of taxonomy term and relationship creation, software use, etc.)

This is the discussion group of the members of American Society for Indexing Taxonomies & Controlled Vocabularies Special Interest Group on LinkedIn. These are individuals with an interest or background in indexing who create or edit taxonomies for external clients or audiences, either as freelancers/consultants or as in-house developers of taxonomies/controlled vocabularies for externally offered (sold) information sources.
All members of the Taxonomies & Controlled Vocabularies SIG of ASI are encouraged to join the LinkedIn group. Those who are not members of the ASI SIG may be approved by the moderator on an individual basis. Former members are welcome, as are those who are members of ASI or affiliated indexing societies, as they may be considered prospective members of the SIG.
